Albums
The discography of the American rock group Toto includes 13 studio albums, four live albums, and a number of compilations. Toto has released original music and collaborated with other artists on soundtracks and films. The group has won a number of Grammy Awards for their work.
Before the formation of Toto the band, members performed sessions for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session percussionist Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs' 1975 album Silk Degrees. The group's collaboration led to formation of Toto in 1976.
Turn Back, Toto's third studio album was criticized by critics for not having hit singles. In 1985 the group's singer Fergie Frederiksen quit the group The group held auditions for a new frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the group recorded their 1986 album Fahrenheit.
In 1998, Toto celebrated its 20th anniversary by scouring through old tapes and demos to release a special record called Toto XX. The album was a hit by fans and the band embarked on a tour that featured former members Bobby Kimball, Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.
Shem Von Schröck replaced Leland Sklar as drummer during the tour in support of the 40 Trips Around the Sun album. In 2017, Toto released a double-CD live set titled Falling in Between, which included recordings from the tour and an interview with the group.

The band's music was played in more than 200 movies and television shows including The Godfather & The Prince of Egypt.
The band Toto IV released in 1983 won them worldwide acclaim. After the success of the album The band embarked on a world tour support of it. During the tour, lead singer Bobby Kimball was arrested on drug charges. The band decided to let him go at the end of the tour and then hired guitarist/singer Joseph Williams in his place. David Hungate, the drummer also quit the band after the tour. Leland Sklar took over his place.

The song "Africa" is from the album Toto IV. It was written by band members and produced by David Paich. It was a huge hit in Europe and a variety of other countries. Keyboardist Paich was regular on albums by Steely Dan, Seals and Crofts, and Sonny and Cher.
In 1998, Toto started working on an album titled Old Is New. The album featured three new tracks as well as several finished recordings of older songs. The album was a hit worldwide and the band went on a tour around the world to promote it.

Toto known for the popular song "Africa" The group recently came together to promote their latest album, All In. The album, which was released on the 6th of November, 2018 included three brand new tracks from the forthcoming 40 Trips Around the Sun as also completed recordings of four previously released tracks featuring Jeff Porcaro playing drums and Mike or Steve Porcaro playing bass. The album also included an original cover version of Weezer's song "Hash Pipe" that the band re-released after hearing it on the radio.
